Our History
1960s
1967: Wholesale Supply, Inc. was purchased by Rod C. Bullard, Sr. and his wife Sammie Bullard, in June 1967. The company started as a sales and leasing business for ice makers, drink machines, and soft serve ice cream making equipment. The Bullards had just settled in Longview in 1962 after Rod served for 20 years in the U.S. Navy.
1970s
By 1976 the business had outgrown its 2,500 sq. ft. location at 1114 Jaycee Rd. in Longview. The Bullards purchased the Mayflower Building at 2232 S Green St. where the company is currently located. The line of equipment carried was extended to include refrigeration equipment, and other commercial foodservice equipment. The Bullards were proud to be growing and progressing with Longview and the East Texas Area.
1980s
1982: Rod Bullard, Jr., Rod and Sammie's son, joined the Wholesale Supply, Inc. team as the Sales Manager.
1985: Rod Bullard, Sr. received the Presidential Award from Manitowoc (Ice Machine Manufacturer) for being in the top 10 percent of national sales.
1990s
1994: Rod Bullard, Sr. received the senior distributor award from Manitowoc Equipment at the firm’s distributor conference in Orlando, FL. At the time, Wholesale Supply, Inc. had been a distributor for Manitowoc ice makers for 27 years.
1995: Rod Bullard, Sr. lost his battle with cancer. His wife Sammie and son Rod Bullard, Jr. ran the business moving forward, as partners.
2000s
2008: Rod Bullard, Jr.’s daughter Ashley Green, joined the team as the Marketing Coordinator.
2009: Sammie Bullard passed away and we are still trying to fill her shoes. Rod Bullard, Jr. became the President of Wholesale Supply, Inc. Rod’s youngest son Chase Bullard joined the team as the Product Line and Sales Manager later that year.
2010s
2017: Wholesale Supply, Inc. celebrates it;s 50th Anniversary!
2019: Wholesale Supply, Inc. launches eCommerce site!
